Monday's great weather is a thing of the past Tuesday morning. Look at those waves!
They splashed up over the seawall in many places.

My plan for the morning while R was at orientation was to run up Mount Victoria. This is a snap of the main trail. There were some great-looking side trails, but there were also some not-so-great-looking homeless people nesting along those side trails, so being alone, I stuck to the main path. It was reassuring to see a couple of other white girls on the trail with me.

This sign was at the top of Mount Victoria. It was crazy windy, so I didn't hang around too long.
I'm still wrapping my head around being someplace where the next stop is Antarctica!

This is a view of Wellington Airport from Mount Victoria.
 Seriously, planes land there?

  1. Looks like an interesting run up Mount Victoria. Wish Sandy and I could run that tomorrow instead of Mathews Winters, but...at least we should have a sunny day! Thank you for the updates. It's really fun to read what you are doing. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are cheap, filling and you don't need a fridge...
