Westport, Top of the South

We arrived in the Buller District Saturday afternoon. We don't have a permanent temporary address yet, so we're patching together some microwave meals and Internet from the public library. This post will be brief so I don't get kicked out of the library for using up their allotted broadband space, but hopefully long enough and with enough pictures to give you a flavor of our new location. We had cloudy skies and rain during the weekend, but today (Tuesday) is sunny and mild.

Leaving Invercargill. This is the entire plane.
My level of fitness has definitely dropped during this trip, but my rear end hasn't gotten THAT big.
This aisle is small.

The Wesport airport, in its entirety.
The ocean from Carters Beach.
Our first-day track outing.

Weka in the parking lot.
View from the walkway.

On the track.

Our destination on this track is the seal colony on these rocks.
