For our second day in Dunedin, we decided to get out of the city and explore the Otago Peninsula. I chose a track that was reportedly less busy and had great ocean views. Ok!
It certainly was less crowded. We didn't see another tramper until we got back to the car park. The walk to the beach (Sandfly Bay) was steep! We were rewarded by these two sealions napping on the sand. There are little blue penguins here, too, but they fish at sea during the day, so we didn't see any of them.
We went back to the Octagon in downtown Dunedin for lunch. Today was graduation day from University of Otago. Lots of caps and gowns walking around (proud families, too!).
