Kelsey's Bush Walk

I'm back at the library this Monday morning, 4 December, to catch up on some Interneting. Ruben pined a bit for the football couldn't watch because we don't have wifi and I a still missing my online barre class, but we're making it through. We attended St Augustine's Anglican church Sunday morning and heard once again how wonderful were the previous locums doc and his wife. It's great that they were well loved during their 18 months in Waimate, but we have big shoes to fill!

After church and laundry (we do have a laundry machine but no dryer. It was a great day to hang out washing!) we went to Kelsey's Bush for a hike. It was really lush and beautiful and all was well well until I dropped the camera in a stream. Oops. The memory card retained the pictures I took before the camera got dunked and the camera is currently drying out in the sun. That little guy has been through a lot. I hope it makes it through this trial as well!

We have had fine weather--in the 80s (27 degrees Celsius) and sunny every day. The wet foot that resulted from my slide off a slimy rock into the stream was actually refreshing, but R found his waterfall bath to be downright cold.

There was a sign near one of these trees saying
the trunk is ice cold. It was right!
